Lets Think Outside the Box
We take a look at how to start, buy and grow low cost everyday business.

Edition One.
As this is a brand new newsletter, I decided to write the first thing that came to mind, without a plan or structure.
A sincere letter to my early subscribers as to what you can expect going forward and why the information is quite literally life changing (cliche I know).
For decades we have been told to invest in property or some index fund, they are safe or offer the best returns….blah blah.
And while they have performed well in the past, we live in a time of high interest rates AND inflated asset prices, relative to wage growth among many western nations.
The United States has always operated on a slightly different level, where wages stateside have a better chance of supporting deteriorating purchasing power, however still under the same threat.
So how can you build wealth?
Create purpose? Quit your dreaded job?
Where is the money being made?
Where are the private investors parking their money?
What opportunities lie ahead for the average worker?
How can you get involved and get some skin in the game?
These are some of the core questions I will answer going forward, but to summarise, it comes from being a business owner.
But start ups can be hard, and just as costly, which is why we are seeing a rising trend in acquisitions, and predicted to be a growing trend in years to come.
But I know what you're thinking, buying a business is just for the Wall Street city slickers. Well think again.
There are everyday businesses for sale that require little barriers to entry, ie; no specific knowledge and often zero to little capital to acquire, depending on the deal structure.
Businesses that we use and see everyday and some we don’t.
The challenge is finding them and making offers. Something you will learn a great deal about if you give me 5 minutes every Saturday, and read the Scrappy Buyouts newsletter.
This was named ‘Scrappy Buyouts’ as I believed it to be fitting and able to speak to all audiences. Acquisitions are not all done in boardrooms with fat cheques. They are for resourceful people, everyday people looking to become an owner.

See you next week.
